Your Party or Workshop Experience

The perfect party for those who love to paint! Using a combination of taught brushwork techniques, unusual tools and specialist paints and mediums, your guests will create awesome artwork to be proud of! From exploring ways to use unconventional painting tools to experimenting with different finishes and effects, each project is designed to equip and inspire the wild at 'art. The party includes two taught projects: one canvas and one watercolour. Choose to create a “stunning” jellyfish bloom or a fine-art-dandy dandelion meadow (or switch subject matter for each work). For whichever project you choose, all guests will be taught the same methods, though of course each artwork will be unique! Our first project will be the canvas. Painting tools include wooden brushes, bamboo straws, ball chains, string, bamboo toothbrushes, wire, bamboo cotton tips and/or sponge. Acrylic paints are used with metallic and pouring mediums to create exciting effects. Depending on which project you choose, techniques include brushwork, blowing, pouring, underpainting, dynamic printing, dry brushing, dabbing, glazing, sgraffito, splattering and stippling… plenty to keep your guests active and engaged! For our second project, we create magical watercolours using invisible wax. Draw a dancing jellyfish or whimsical dandelion using a special wax crayon, then brush over a watercolour rainbow wash. Budding artists love to see their design magically appear; a jellyfish or dandelion drifting across a colourful watercolour background. Guests will take away their special crayon so that this simple-but-effective technique can be easily replicated at home for future artistic adventures. Each guest will take home: - approx 9"x12" canvas artwork - A4 watercolour artwork - invisible wax crayon The painting activities will last approximately 1 hour 30 mins. Want a longer party? For 13 or more guests I bring an assistant to make sure everything runs smoothly and all guests can be attended to, charged at £30. For 20 or more guests, I would recommend two assistants (£60).
