POTIONS CLASS! Beauty Without the Beasts

Your Party or Workshop Experience

This is a hands-on ‘beauty without the beasts’ workshop style party for older girls (age 10-16) using natural organic ingredients and simple teen-friendly recipes that can easily be re-created at home. There’s also the option to have some crafty fun making creative packaging too (a decoupage glass lantern). ‘Potions Class’ includes a splash of biology, a dash of history, a measure of chemistry magic and a large dose of chat and banter! We'll have fun learning about essential oils and the origins of aromatherapy, exploring scents together, and then creating bespoke blends. First we will make a 'herbal bath tea' including the following: - scented Dead Sea bath salts 500g - wooden scoop - botanicals (rose, lavender, chamomile and calendula) - 2 eco-friendly muslin bath 'tea bags' And then we'll make your choice of one of these options: - scented sugar scrub 500ml - room spray or body mist 100ml - decoupage glass bath time lantern (includes tealight) Along with their potions, equipment and spare botanicals, every guest will take home a natural lava rock diffuser aromatherapy bracelet, another lovely way to enjoy essential oils. £160 for 6; £20 per additional guest Want to add a refreshment break? Essential oils policy: This party includes supervised use of essential oils and is suitable for ages 10 and over. It’s a fun party for sleepovers, though guests should refrain from using any of their products until their parent/guardian has confirmed their suitability. A full list of ingredients can be provided in advance if you are concerned about anyone with allergies. If any guest is suffering from a serious skin condition, epilepsy, asthma or taking any medication, please ensure they seek advice from a medical professional or qualified aromatherapist in advance. I am trained to run NYR Organic ‘Create’ parties, but I cannot give any individual advice. Guests will choose which oils they would like to use and other ingredients are chosen for their skin friendly properties; however since we are all different, responsibility for the use of the products made remains with the guests' parents/guardians.
