CREATE! Essential Oils Workshop
Homemade beauty without the beasts
Your Party or Workshop Experience
Learn about oils and aromatherapy in a fun and interactive workshop giving you an insight into their uses, origins, aroma balancing and the safe use of oils. We'll talk about the origins of aromatherapy, essential oils (where they come from and how they can be used) and discover more about your sense of smell while testing different oils and learning how to create your own bespoke scent. The workshop includes a splash of biology, a dash of history, a measure of chemistry and a large dose of chat and banter! We’ll then get hands-on creating your own products using natural organic ingredients and simple skin-friendly recipes that can easily be re-created at home. First we will make a herbal bath tea including: - scented Dead Sea bath salts 500g - wooden scoop - botanicals (rose, lavender, chamomile, calendula) - 2 eco-friendly muslin bath 'tea bags' And then choose another item to make: - scented sugar scrub 500ml - room spray, pillow or body mist 100ml - roll on remedies 10ml You can swap the herbal bath tea for one of the above, and make more items if you wish (£6 each). Guests take home their potions, spare botanicals and an essential oils information leaflet. I am a trained NYR Organic Independent Consultant and we exclusively use Neal's Yard Remedies essentials oils in my workshops. Neal’s Yard use the highest possible percentage of organic ingredients as they are kinder to the earth – and kinder to you – and ethically and sustainably sourced herbs, botanicals and essential oils. To learn more about Neal’s Yard products, please visit my NYR website: https://uk.nyrorganic.com/shop/angelawalters/area/shop-online/category/shop/ This relaxed 3 hour workshop is a great way to add fun to a get together over a glass of wine or cuppa and cake. Minimum group 6 guests Extended Create! workshops are available if you are making a day of it, or can be combined with a craft activity or jewellery making (eg aromatherapy jewellery). Please see other party listings for more info or get in touch to discuss ideas. Essential oils policy: If any workshop participant is suffering from a serious skin condition, epilepsy, asthma or taking any medication, please ensure they seek advice on the use of essential oils from a medical professional or qualified aromatherapist in advance. Participants determine the suitability of use of their blends. It is always recommended to do a skin test patch test for new products. Thank you.
