Make Your Own Aromatherapy Gifts

Learn about oils and aromatherapy in a fun and interactive workshop designed to help you create your own aromatic gifts this Christmas.   Gain insight into the uses, origins and the safe use of essential oils and how to aroma balance.  We'll talk about the origins of aromatherapy, essential oils (where they come from and how they can be used) and discover more about your sense of smell while testing different oils and learning how to create your own products.  The workshop includes a splash of biology, a dash of history, a measure of chemistry and a large dose of chat and banter!  We’ll then get hands-on creating your own products using natural organic ingredients and simple skin-friendly recipes that can easily be  re-created at home to make gorgeous gifts.

First we will make a herbal bath tea including:

- Dead Sea bath salts infused with your chosen oils

- 500ml glass jar

- wooden scoop

- botanicals (rose, lavender, chamomile, calendula)

- 2 eco-friendly muslin bath 'tea bags'

- tags and ribbon

We will then make a scented sugar scrub (500ml) to take home in your reusable mixing pot.  We'll discuss eco-friendly packaging ideas, and how to make other simple projects, including room sprays, pillow or body mists and roll on remedies.

Participants take home their potions, spare botanicals, beech wood stirrer and an essential oils information leaflet.

There will be a small selection of Neal's Yard Remedies essential oils and books, and some packaging supplies, available to purchase at the end of the workshop - entirely optional of course!
